10. 04. 2009, Imelda Ogilvy

Imelda Ogilvy received a gold David Award for ‘'Plug'' advertisement for the brand Hansaplast, created by creative director Jure Požun and copywriter Andrej Baša. This year's 16 participating countries impressed the jury with more than 320 unique ads. Imelda Ogilvy's ad was voted the best radio ad in the competition.

"This award is a recognition of Imelda Ogilvy's creative team excellence in the international context and at the same time motivation for further work. It is a confirmation that our agency can offer a fresh way of thinking and that creativity can also be found in the optimal use of an advertising medium. In the end, great ideas always pay off, " said Imelda Ogilvy's creative director Jure Požun.

In the creative solution for Hansaplast earplugs Imelda Ogilvy's team managed to skillfully link two different dimension of the word silence - on one hand as the main selling preposition of the product and on the other as an unusual and unexpected characteristics of radio medium. Since the ad uses the broadcasting media in a fresh way, it is even more successful in wining public's attention.

David Awards competition is held in five categories: television, radio, print, interactive and the category for other forms of communication (direct mail, point of sale, events, design and ambience). Institution of David Awards was established in Prague with intention to interconnect different agencies in the Ogilvy network and to share knowledge and good advertising practices from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
