Tinca Štokojnik has worked on two major projects connected to the European Union: public relations and communication campaigns when Slovenia was joining the EU and PR support during Slovenia's Presidency of the EU). Her rich experience will be an important asset to the PR department of Imelda Ogilvy. Her arrival will also bring new energy to the agency and add to the know-how that we share inside Ogilvy Worldwide PR network, and thus contribute to even better PR solutions for our clients. Public relations are a basic tool for integrated communication of the multinational Ogilvy network. Tinca Štokojnik will join her experienced team on 1 October.

When Tinca was twelve years old, she decided that she will write when she grows up. And she did. After studying journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana and obtaining a masters' degree in journalism at Indiana University, she began writing for Slovenian and international media. After a few years in journalism her curiosity and her desire to experience something more brought her to the field of public relations. At the time when Slovenia was joining the EU she was head of public relations at the Delegation of the European Commission and managed the communication campaign to inform Slovenian public about the EU. She was also dealing with all other communication and PR aspects of the office. In 2005 when Slovenia was chosen as the first new EU member state to hold the EU Presidency in 2008, working on this big project was the next logical step in Tinca's career. During the preparations for the presidency she spent two dynamic years at the Public Relations Service in the Foreign Affairs Ministry. In 2007 she changed jobs and countries when she joined Slovenia's Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels to eventually work as PR representative during Slovenia's 2008 EU presidency.
